The choice of interior doors for your timber prefab home is really about your preferences. They are connected to the project and the whole atmosphere. The interior doors can be with standard size or not, with or without window glass. Usually doors are opened to the inside of the room and to the closest perpendicular wall.

Choice of door material - it's good to have doors from MDF or HDF - wood fibers and resin, pressed with medium and high pressure and temperature. They are water resistant and have high specific weight. When producing interior doors about 800 colors are used and the choice with wood patterns has no limit. The door's hardware plays a significant role in its functionality and consists of different mechanisms, handles and knobs, hinges, gaskets and others.


MDF doors

They are lighter and look nice, you can easily change the color with different varnishes and water-based paints. The MDF/HDF doors have good heat and sound insulation and keep their properties for a long period of time (there is no distortion as with the solid wood doors). Every kind of hardware can be used (brass, steel, copper) depending on your wishes. The MDF/HDF doors are easy to maintain and can be cleaned up with different detergents, there are no woodworms and other wreckers. These doors are hygroscopic and it's possible to swell - this can be avoided only with proper painting.

Solid wood doors

They are produced from softwood that should be really well dried to very low humidity levels in order to avoid future distortion of the door and the casing. Timber is a very good natural heat and sound insulator. The solid doors can be easily moulded according to your preferences (different figures, frescos, wood-carving) thus making your home more cozy. Here could be also added the whole range of timber stains used for various effects (like aging the wood and others).

PVC and aluminum doors

This is the best choice for bathrooms is there is a direct access to water. The PVC and aluminum doors are mainly used in administrative buildings and offices because they don't detain dust and can be easily maintained and cleaned up.
